How Neazor Brady works

Most immigration firms are built for volume: one visa, one fee, one transaction. That works if you're an individual moving to New Zealand. It doesn't work if you're an employer making five-year commitments to skilled staff and their families.

Neazor Brady was built differently. Immigration, recruitment, and HR sit under one roof, and the people doing each piece talk to each other every day. Talent Director Catherine Neazor Brady is a Licensed Immigration Adviser at Neazor Brady, with over 25 years' experience in HR and immigration. A Chartered Member of Human Resources New Zealand and an Accredited Professional Recruiter (RCSA), she specialises in the employer side of immigration — Employer Accreditation, Job Checks, Accredited Employer Work Visas, Specific Purpose Work Visas and Business/Investors.

Catherine brings expertise in aligning pay and role requirements with immigration criteria, and assists employers with compliance issues. She draws on an HR and management background to solve complex talent and immigration challenges, including for overseas companies establishing in New Zealand. She speaks fluent French after 7 years living in Paris and loves a good French film!

Connor Brady

Connor Brady is a Talent Director and Licensed Immigration Adviser at Neazor Brady, with over 25 years' experience in HR and 20 years in the immigration industry. He specialises in the employer side of immigration, partnering with New Zealand businesses to recruit and retain highly skilled overseas talent through a holistic, tailored approach. Connor is known for understanding the real needs of employers and finding solutions that work.

Connor is an Accredited Professional Recruiter with RCSA. He is a fluent French speaker. Connor is also Chair of the Irish Business Network of New Zealand Waikato branch.

Vanak Kit

Senior Licensed Immigration Adviser · License 201900947

Vanak Kit is a Senior Licensed Immigration Adviser at Neazor Brady, with over 7 years' experience helping clients navigate New Zealand's immigration system. He has a real talent for untangling complex applications, and genuine care for the people behind them.

Originally from Cambodia, Vanak completed university studies in New Zealand. He brings deep expertise across Employer Accreditation, Job Checks and Accredited Employer Work Visas, as well as complex Partnership, Dependent Child, Parent and International Student applications.

He has supported clients across healthcare, engineering, retail, hospitality and horticulture industries. Fluent in Khmer and Mandarin, Vanak combines technical precision with a client-focused approach. Outside work, he loves spending time with his dog, Brownie.

Karen Baigent

Licensed Immigration Adviser · License 202200812

Karen Baigent is a Licensed Immigration Adviser at Neazor Brady, drawing on a long background in payroll, admin and recruitment to support both employers and individuals. She specialises in work-related applications in science, technology, infrastructure, manufacturing and primary industries, and understands the practical needs of businesses recruiting and retaining skilled migrant workers.

Karen also brings particular strength to Partnership and family applications, guiding partners and families through the immigration process with care and clarity. Having travelled extensively and lived in London, she is a steadfast advocate for New Zealand and is based in Nelson.

We get our buzz from the difference having the right people in the right places makes for our employers and communities! Coming from a recruitment and HR background prior to Immigration, we know great immigration advice should take care of much more than a single application.

We have worked with our longest employer client for over 20 years, and have seen an engineering/construction company grow from 10 staff doing groundworks to employing over 300 staff making a major contribution to building New Zealand’s essential broadband infrastructure. On another side, we have been working with a network of rural Charitable Trust rest homes and retirement care villages, helping them to recruit and retain skilled Healthcare Assistants, Nurses and other professionals to look after our most vulnerable people.

While we can provide one-off assistance, we prefer to work in long term partnership with employers where we are a trusted member of their wider team, helping ensure they can recruit and retain skilled migrants where they need to fill their workforce gaps.

Along the way, we have also worked with thousands of individual migrants, helping them with their work visa and residence applications, and then helping their wider family to join them in New Zealand. We have worked with three generations of some families now, including parents, siblings, cousins, children and grandchildren. This has led to a mix of work visas, residence applications, partnership, parent and dependent child applications, and even student, business and investor visas! A high percentage of our work comes through referral from existing and past clients. Coming from a mix of migrant backgrounds ourselves, we understand what a huge undertaking it is to up sticks and move to a new country. We appreciate the resilience and determination of our clients, and the trust they place in us. Moving to a new country is stressful, and expensive. The impact of getting it wrong is huge. And we feel privileged and proud of making it easier and more secure.
